Quintessa can play a role in the following aspects of hydrocarbon exploration and exploitation:

Recent projects by Quintessa staff have included: Mass balance calculations to account for pervasive barite cements in two UK sandstone reservoirs; TRENDS thematic network on health, safety, environmental and quality aspects of hydrocarbon energy production; Simulations of coupled chemical reactions and fluid flow/diffusion at variable temperatures, to assess the evolution of porosity and permeability with time; Principal Component Analysis (PCA) to define fluid sources and flow directions in a Neogene sedimentary basin.
