Quintessa provides a 3-D geological modelling service involving the integration of data from disparate sources, data validation, testing of alternative interpretations and the construction of three dimensional block models incorporating lithostratigraphical and structural data.
The geological model shown here was developed using the Petrel software package.
Since such a model is digitized, in addition to providing a superb visual means of underground structural and lithostratigraphical data for URLs, repositories, oil reservoirs etc., gridded (x,y,z) electronic files of formation boundaries, fault surfaces, rock properties etc. can be readily exported. Petrel can therefore be used as a basis for setting up an initial geological framework for specific analyses/modelling (e.g., ground water flow).
