Emma Cairns
Location: Warrington

Emma trained in Earth Sciences (Lancaster University) and Quaternary Science (Royal Holloway, University of London). Emma has 3.5 years’ experience working as a consultant geologist in oil and gas. Her main expertise is reservoir geology including depositional environment modelling by integration of multi-disciplinary datasets. Emma developed a new technique which analysed large datasets assessing reservoir quality potential. Emma is excited to apply her knowledge of earth systems and environmental data analysis to Quintessa’s assessment, decision support and geoscience projects.

Emma enjoys most adventurous activities in the great outdoors, mostly walking, scrambling and mountain biking. She recently qualified as a Mountain leader and spends most of her weekends having fun in the Snowdonia hills. Emma’s next adventure goal is to improve her off-piste skiing skills, touring the Alps travelling hut to hut.
