Patricia Verrier

Patricia Verrier

Patricia has an MSci in astrophysics from University College London and a PhD in theoretical astrophysics from the University of Cambridge. She has experience as a software engineer in industry and as a mathematical modeller in the public sector. Her PhD was in planetary dynamics and symplectic integration methods. She has also completed two post-doctoral positions in non-linear dynamics and spacecraft dynamics. Software development has always been a significant part of her work. She has extensive experience with a number of different programing languages and likes to keep up to date with modern development practices. She has worked in a range of different fields and likes the challenge of learning about new areas of mathematics and physics.


Patricia is a keen rower, and has taken part in regattas all over the UK on rivers of various sizes and even the sea. She also enjoys crafts such as beadwork and crochet. She is particularly interested in geometric sculpture, and spends a lot of her free time making polyhedra out of beads.
