Contribution to TRENDS in the European Offshore Energy Industry

Quintessa is a participant and working group co-leader for the European TRENDS thematic network, which brings together organisations from across Europe, to address the present and future challenges in the health, safety, environmental and quality (HSEQ) aspects of hydrocarbon energy production.

TRENDS was established by the European Oil and Gas Innovation Forum (Eurogif) and is supported by the EC under two different contracts (one with DG RESEARCH and one with DG ENERGY and TRANSPORT).

The network has 64 partners and 6 observers from 13 countries. Quintessa is co-leader with Greenstreet Berman and UK Assist of network activities relating to Stakeholder Dialogue. The aim of this work package is to identify opportunities for stakeholder communication on issues relevant to risk management in European production, with a particular focus on offshore energy production. It is planned to develop a seminar later in 2004 with the aim of promoting the ongoing sharing of experience in consultation on priority areas of stakeholder concern.
