Quintessa employees are enthusiastic about inspiring future generations to engage in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) subjects. In July, volunteers from Quintessa supported a Year 12 Careers Event at The Piggott School, local to Quintessa's Henley office. This opportunity followed on from Quintessa providing a one-week work experience opportunity to a Piggott School student in 2024.
Sam Parsons volunteered to conduct formal mock interviews with the students based around their CVs. The mock interviews gave the students an opportunity to practise their interview skills in a realistic setting and to help them feel more confident and prepared for the real thing – whether for a job, apprenticeship, or university. Sam provided feedback on CVs and interpersonal skills.
Rebecca Newson supported a World Café style event at the school. This was a relaxed, informal event where the students moved around different tables to chat with professionals from a range of industries and to think about the next steps in different careers. It was a great way for students to explore various career paths, ask questions, and learn from people with real world experience.
