Quintessa is pleased to have received a 'Superior Paper' recognition from WM Symposia for the paper on post-closure safety assessment for the Canadian DGR that was presented by Russell Walke at the WM2015 conference in Phoenix in March of this year (see also the original news article). The 'outstanding' paper was co-authored by Richard Little at Quintessa and Helen Leung at the Canadian Nuclear Waste Management Organization (NWMO).
WM Symposia established the ‘Superior Paper’ recognition at WM2015 with the objective to recognise authors and co-authors for distinguished contributions to the advancement of radioactive waste and radioactive materials management. In a letter to Russell Walke, Gary Benda the Deputy Managing Director of WM Symposia Inc. commented ‘Your paper achieved the superior level rating based on the paper review judging criteria. It demonstrated superb knowledge and understanding, and lays the foundation for future waste management endeavours.
