Ian Hiscock appointed as new External Trustee Director

Quintessa is delighted to announce that Ian Hiscock has been appointed as a new External Trustee Director to sit on its Employee Ownership Trust (EOT) board from April 2022.

Ian has extensive experience of employee ownership models, governance and culture having spent 29 years working in the John Lewis Partnership, where he was an employee trustee for 5 years and chaired the Partnership’s most senior elected fora. Since leaving John Lewis in 2019, Ian has set up his own company (IHC) focusing on supporting employee-owned businesses, acting as an Independent Trustee, and providing facilitation services. He passionately believes that employee ownership represents a better way of doing business, with employees being able to participate directly in their own business and receive fair reward for their efforts. His experience and enthusiasm will be a valuable addition to Quintessa’s EOT board and will help ensure compliance with the Trust’s remit that the company should continue to be a "successful, independent and professionally managed trading enterprise with an Employee Ownership Ethos".
